Yes, I’m still alive guys! I’m currently into home decor slash furniture thingy lately. I have been drooling over this instagram account named @tanganketiga (FYI this is not sponsored -but I REALLY WISH IT DOES :”)). Toko furniture buatan Indonesia ini bermarkas di Kuningan Jawa Barat (bikin was-was ngebayangin harga ongkir ke Jakarta). Bahannya pake kayu beneran (jati, pinus, coconut wood) juga besi & fabric here and there. Trus desainnya ala scandinavian, masculine, tapi dengan tekstur & serat kayu jadi masih terasa warm and homey. Karya artistry banget pokoknya. Unfortunately my budget is not there yet, jadi harus ditunda dulu beli disitu.

Prioritas saya sekarang adalah rak untuk nyimpen peralatan kamera, lensa, foto dan sebagainya. Rencananya mau beli di IKEA, but when I went there last week it was sold out -I will faithfully wait for them to restock.

Setelah 2 bulan kamar saya in an awful chaos (karena abis umrah, opname di rumah sakit, dan juga ngga bisa banyak gerak ketika bed rest di rumah) akhirnya sekarang kamar saya udah berbentuk layaknya kamar manusia. Waktu tiga tahun yang lalu pindah ke Jakarta, I had not plan my bed room anything at all. I only worked on the things I already had. Which made my room sangat-sangat “anak kostan”-style. Intinya sih sekarang I want my room to represent my current personality, style, and also relatable to my current age. Yes, people. I’m turning 26 this April today! :D

Panduan Singkat Online Shop (Part 1)

Sekitar 5 tahun yang lalu, online shop di Indonesia itu belum se-booming sekarang. Temen saya pada heran ngeliat saya jual flash atau lensa kamera di FJB kaskus (tapi saya mah santai karena jual beli online udah jadi hal yang biasa buat saya waktu itu). Saya punya temen yang udah 3 tahun terakhir tinggal di Jepang. Kebetulan kemaren lusa saya chat dengan teman saya yang tinggal di Jepang ini. Waktu kita lagi ngobrolin online shop, temen saya bilang kalo dia masih ngerasa takut untuk beli barang di online shop Indonesia -maklumlah karena dia ngga ngikutin perkembangan e-commerce di sini. Yang dia percaya cuma Amazon & Rakuten (karena emang ini yang populer di sana).

Saya belanja di online shop udah sejak tahun 2005, alias 11 tahun yang lalu waktu saya SMA. Saat itu bahkan saya belum punya rekening di bank, jadi selalu minta tolong Mama transferin atau saya yang ke bank langsung. So anyway, karena 11 tahun itu bukanlah waktu yang pendek, saya jadi ngerasa I have a lot to talk about e-commerce.

Perkembangan e-commerce sekarang ini lagi kenceng-kencengnya (dan mungkin kedepannya akan lebih kenceng lagi) dan udah banyak online shop yang terpercaya (walaupun banyak juga yang masih berusaha nipu). So, for my first attempt on writting about online shop, saya mau ngebahas jenis-jenis online shop secara singkat namun padat (dan mudah-mudahan jelas) karena ini bukan tugas essay S2. Di postingan kali ini saya akan bahas 3 jenis e-commerce, dan di part 2 nanti akan membahas 3 sisanya.

YOU’VE GOT 2016 MAIL!

Hello! It’s the first day of 2016, and I’ve been doing some classic activity: eating oreo while re-watching retro movies in my room. By retro I mean movies in the 90’s and early 2000’s though :P. Talking about You’ve Got Mail (1998), I was watching this again when it made me realize how changed the world is now: the internet is more than just chatrooms and e-mails. As for the rivalry between the two book stores in the movie, nowadays we can buy books through e-commerce -you don’t even need a physical store to sell books.

This might be a boring 1hr 59min movie for you if you are looking for modern intriguing-unpredictable movie plot. However then again, this movie is filled with butterflies, coffee, books, kids, festivals, and internet (and daisies) which a person like me can relate to. It’s just a relaxing classic piece.

May I Have Some Boots

I have a secret obsession over ankle boots. The reason why I don’t have one is of course because the stores here doesn’t have my size. It’s either too small (although it’s the biggest women-size available) or too wide in the toe box (because it’s men-size). I don’t find myself going to shoe tailors for this because most of them never seems to get what I want. And although they measured my feet in advance, none of their shoes really fitted me. So just let me sit here and admire some ankle boots through my screen.
